The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning hosts the GHEITI Secretariat and also chairs the Committee and coordinates all the activities of the GHEITI through the secretariat. 

The main role of the Secretariat is the implementation the work plan, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the entire GHEITI Program in conjunction with the Steering Committee.
