The Ghana EITI in collaboration with the Chamber of Mines wishes to organize mines study tour for members of the Ghana National Steering Committee and EITI sensitization workshop for faculty members and students of the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa (UMaT). The tour which will take the Committee members to the Ghana Manganese Company (GMC), Anglogold Ashanti Iduaprem, Goldfields Damang and Goldfields, Tarkwa will afford the Steering Committee members the opportunity to learn about the operations of the mining companies and their corporate social responsibility activities.

It will also educate the faculty members and students of UMaT.

The activity will take place in Tarkwa from 10th – 14th May, 2012. The study participants will lodge at the Hotel de Hilda.
