Ghana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (GHEITI) Undergoes Validation.
Validation is very essential for all EITI implementing countries as it is a quality assurance which holds all countries to the same brand. The objective of validation is to provide an independent assessment of progress achieved by implementing countries on their progress on EITI and what measures they may need to take to make better and faster progress.

Countries that undergo the validation process move from candidate countries to compliant countries. All EITI implementing countries are to undergo validation before the dead line of 9th March, 2010..

In view of this, the Ghana EITI Secretariat and the National Steering Committee have procured an International Firm (the IDL Group) to carry out its validation exercise.
